Behind AKINA
From laboratory research exploring how spent coffee grounds influence collagen and elastin levels in the skin, to fieldwork in Malawi studying how the moringa tree supports nutrition and health in rural communities, my fascination with nature’s design runs deep.
I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Copenhagen SCIENCE, and my work has shown me how intelligent and powerful bioactive compounds can be — not only for the skin, but for body and mind. For me, it has always felt natural to bring that intelligence into skincare.

Our craft
We formulate in small batches to preserve freshness, control, and uncompromising quality. Our botanical oils are cold-pressed at a small local distillery in Provence, France, where gentle processing preserves their bioactive properties. Each oil is selected for its purity and quality. The same care extends to our botanical powders, natural fruit enzymes, and mineral-rich clays, which are used in concentrated form and carefully balanced in every formulation.
